Hazard Warning Lights Come On By Themselves

Hazard warning lights come on by themselves. The hazard and turn signal lights found on the vast majority of road going vehicles are controlled by a flasher which is commonly referred to as a relay. If the electrical relays malfunction internally they can cause the hazard lights to act up. The switch can be tested disconnecting it from wires and using an ohmmeter on its contact to ensure it is opening and closing fine. The actual connection of the two wires from your hazard switch can usually be made to your existing circuit where the cable comes out of the steering column under the dash.
