Lamy 2000 Leaking In Cap

Lamy 2000 leaking in cap. This is my 3mo old lamy 2000. I ve bought several cheap lamy pens in the past safari vista al star joy plus several extra steel nibs and without exception they all suck dry and skippy sometimes hard to get to work at all basically junk. I don t drop my pens. In spite of my problems with the lamy 2000 it s nevertheless the best lamy i ve ever had by far.

I just got a lamy 2000 and i love the way it writes. The lamy 2000 has been writing design history since 1966. I told you it was coming. As a timeless classic it is still one of the most modern writing instruments today.

I definitely love this feature. My lamy 2000 new model started leaking around the ear section where those two metal pieces stick out. You would never guess that the lamy 2000 is celebrating it s 50th anniversary this year. But i have a problem.

Is there something i can do. I can t find anything loose. I really like the pen but recently 2w it s started leaking a little in the cap. Posted by 5 years ago.

Is there something i can do to fix this myself or can should i send it in for repair. I ve noticed that i unconsciously pop the cap off and on between my thumb and forefinger when holding the pen but not writing during a meeting for example. I usually carry it in my shirt pocket. The lamy 2000 is the dr.

Am i doing something wrong or do i have a bigger problem i didn t realize that photo captions don t show up as prominently as comments. It seems to be leaking from where the cap clips with the pen. It is such a classic with it s minimalist design that the pen appears ageless. Lamy 2000 steel leaking into cap just picked up a new lamy 2000 steel medium and i ve been having issues with it leaking a lot into the cap.

It is distinguished from earlier dip pens by using an internal reservoir to hold ink eliminating the need to repeatedly dip the pen in an inkwell during use. The pen draws ink from the reservoir through a feed to the nib and deposits it on paper via a combination of gravity and capillary action. I tried clearing it out completely and the refilling but it continues to leak.
